This is without a doubt the biggest time saver in my 9 years of teaching.  I am no longer spending hours on the phone contacting parents.  I email information and if a parent needs to meet with me we make an appointment through email.  Less paper work because we don’t send progress reports home with the student any more. I just zap it home on email directly to the parent and bypass the student!  I don’t even have to look up email addresses – they are already in the computer!
